John has broad experience in communications strategy and
enjoys assisting organisations plan their communications needs.
John will work with you to get to know your organisation and
assist you to develop clear, effective communications products
that inform, persuade or inspire, be it in print or on the
web.
John manages writing and design projects for both specific
and general audiences. These varied projects include social
policy, family matters, business and finance, strategy and
policy development, infrastructure, education and specialist
scientific subjects.
'When people engage with your material we want them to be
changed somehow, perhaps to think or act in a new way' says
John. 'Getting clear about how you want the reader to be affected
or act informs our whole approach to writing and design.
John understands legislation, policy processes and organisational
structures in government, business and education. He worked
for six years as a special projects officer at the Australian
Senate. He has also worked for CSIRO and ran Kormilda College
in Darwin, Australia's largest boarding school for aboriginal
students as the Administrator. He was also a senior partner
is Interaction Education, a training company.
John is also a creative writer, writing comedy, hypotheticals,
songs and parody. He holds an arts degree with a major in
sociology.

Chris is an information management consultant and project
manager. He is skilled in working with the 'big picture' and
specialises in identifying the broad information architecture
of communications projects, both on the web and in print.
One of Chris's main strengths is his ability to develop
simple explanations of technical concepts across a range of
topics including engineering, medicine and information technology.
His background in information systems means he is able to
bring rigorous information modelling disciplines to communications
projects. He is particularly experienced in the development
of high quality user interfaces where the design is driven
by user expectations rather than by technical convenience.
As a project manager Chris has assisted state government
agencies and private companies in Australia and overseas with
planning and managing their information requirements. He has
managed projects delivering information over the web including
several using simple mapping or graphical interfaces. He has
also completed a number of technical writing projects for
clients including the Australian Taxation Office.

Chris has degrees in both geography and surveying and worked
as a surveyor in the UK, the Middle East and the Northern
Territory. He also worked in education in both Papua New Guinea
and South Australia. His interests include environmental conservation
and he is a member of the Australian Computer Society
